DESPA's PK program - the strongest in the Triad! We have been nominated and represent the title well for the past decade. We are proud of our well-known reputation and commitment to developing young dancers. Our program is designed for children aged 2.5 to 6, where they learn classical ballet techniques, terminology, positions, and basic movements in a fun and engaging way. Our classes also include basic tap steps, and by the end of their 6th year, they are able to perform 15 tap steps, which prepares them to enter the Elementary Program.

 

We want to ensure that our young dancers build a strong foundation for acro classes as they grow older, so we also offer a tumbling class. We guarantee you that your child will develop a love for dance and will be well-prepared for the future.

Our PK Dance Program is Broken Down 5 Ways

1. PK 1 (ages 2.5-4)

2. PK 1/2 (ages 3-6)

3. PK 2 (ages 5-6)

4. PK 2+ (ages 5-7)

5. Tiny Tot Hip Hop (for ages 6-8)

6. Tot Tumble (for ages 3-6)

Our Elementary Program is the perfect choice for young dancers aged 6-10 who are looking to focus on specific areas of dance! Our program offers a unique opportunity for young dancers to break down their subjects and concentrate on one area at a time, helping them discover their interests and passions.

 

In all of our classes, a warm-up of some kind is done, followed by center work, across the floor, and combinations, which allows them to connect different elements of dance while having fun! Our team of experienced dance instructors is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where students can learn and grow at their own pace. We are proud to offer both Beginning Level and Intermediate/Advanced Level classes, ensuring that there is a place for everyone.

Specially designed for dancers aged 11 and up, our program offers the perfect environment for students to explore their interests. By focusing on one area at a time, dancers can gain a deeper understanding of their subjects and develop their skills to the fullest.

Our classes comprise a warm-up, center work, across the floor, and combinations, ensuring that dancers not only have fun but also learn in a diverse and dynamic way. We offer Beginning Level and Intermediate/Advanced Level classes, so whether your child is new to dance, continuing in our program, we have a class that caters to their level.
